In the sequel to Code 8, the LCPD’s new K9 robots keep the peace, but corruption runs rampant. Ex-con Connor, now a janitor, and Mina run the community centre. She becomes the protector of Pavani, a girl with rare powers. Her brother, Tarak, gets caught up in Garrett’s “Ethical” drug ring and is murdered by a corrupt cop. Her move endangers Pavani, who witnesses the crime, and leads Connor into a failed deal with Garrett that erases her memories. Mina’s sacrifice allows them to escape, but they are pursued by robotic Guardians. Detective Davis helps them expose the corrupt Sergeant King by stealing evidence from his K9 unit.
