In the sequel to Code 8, the LCPD’s new K9 robots keep the peace, but corruption runs rampant. Ex-con Connor, now a janitor, and Mina run the community centre. She becomes the protector of Pavani, a girl with rare powers. Her brother, Tarak, gets caught up in Garrett’s “Ethical” drug ring and is murdered by a corrupt cop. Her move endangers Pavani, who witnesses the crime, and leads Connor into a failed deal with Garrett that erases her memories. Mina’s sacrifice allows them to escape, but they are pursued by robotic Guardians. Detective Davis helps them expose the corrupt Sergeant King by stealing evidence from his K9 unit.

In the final confrontation, Pavani reveals the truth by avenging her brother. As a result, justice is served, the K9 program is suspended, and Connor and Pavani Mina are honoured by reopening the community centre. After reaching Chopra, a remnant of the beginning of the universe, where time exists simultaneously, Jakub realizes his desire to be with Lenka. After Hanus’s death, Jakub is rescued by a South Korean ship and reconciles with Lenka, marking an acrimonious end to his cosmic journey.

4. Code 8: Unraveling the Powers Ban on Netflix

In “Code 8,” set in a world where people with superhuman abilities, known as Powers, face discrimination, Connor Reed struggles to support his sick mother, Mary, by taking on illegal jobs that utilize his electrokinetic powers. Desperate for money to afford Mary’s treatment, Connor joins Garrett’s crew, who plan heists under the orders of crime lord Marcus Sutcliffe. As tensions rise between the crew and Marcus, secrets unravel, revealing Nia’s healing abilities and Marcus’s addiction to Psyke, a drug made from Powers’ spinal fluid.
