Movies of certain genres make you want to watch them again and again, no matter how many times you’ve seen them, and you never get bored. Comedy movies are prominent among such films. In this article, I will be discussing Hindi movies available on Amazon Prime Video that were released between 2000 and 2010. 7. Apna Sapna Money Money

Are you looking for a good romantic comedy movie to watch? You might want to consider “Apna Sapna Money Money”, a Bollywood movie directed by Sangeet Sivan and released in 2006. The movie features a talented cast of lead actors such as Anupam Kher, Riteish Deshmukh, Shreyas Talpade, Rhea Sen, Sunil Shetty, Celina Jaitley, etc. Although the movie was not a commercial success, it has some hilarious comedy scenes that will leave you in splits.

The story revolves around Arjun Fernandes, a mechanic, who falls in love with Satyabol Shastri’s daughter Shivani. However, their love is not approved of by Shastri due to their different religions. Arjun seeks help from his cousin Kishan, and that’s when the story takes an interesting turn. With Sunil Shetty playing the role of a police officer in search of diamonds, the movie is sure to keep you engaged. 6. Awara Paagal Deewana:

This film, directed by Vikram Bhatt and released in 2002, is a Hindi comedy movie inspired by an American comedy film called ‘The Whole Nine Yards’ which was also released in 2002. The story revolves around a diamond worth 1000 crores that is mentioned in the will of Indian underworld king Baladev Prasad. Baladev divides the diamonds equally among his son, daughter, and son-in-law. However, Baladev’s son and son-in-law hate each other and both want the diamond for themselves. Baladev’s son, Vikram, plots to kill his brother-in-law, Guru Gulab Khatri, and offers a reward of 2 crores for information about him.

Meanwhile, Anmol, a dentist next door to Guru, comes to India with his father-in-law to provide information about Guru Gulab. There, they find Eda Anna and Chota Chatri. The remaining part of the story unfolds from that point onward.. The conversations between Johnny Lever and Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty and Johnny Lever in the movie are hilarious. Although the film received mixed reviews from critics, it is a good Hindi comedy film. You can watch this movie on Amazon Prime Video.

 5. Golmaal Returns

The Golmaal movie series has a second part, which is a Hindi comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty and premiered in 2008. Out of all the Golmaal movies, this one is my favourite because of its good scenes and dialogue. I’ve seen it countless times, and it never loses its charm.

The movie is about Gopal (Ajay Devgn) who lives in Goa with his wife, sister, and brother-in-law. One day, he saves a girl from goons and takes her to his friend’s yacht when his car breaks down. However, when his wife Ekta (Kareena Kapoor) asks about his whereabouts the previous night, he lies about being with his friend Antony because of her suspicious nature. Ekta writes a letter to Antony and asks him to meet her to confirm Gopal’s story. Knowing this, Gopal asks Laxman Prasad (Shreyas Talpade), a recruit in his company, to play the role of Antony. 

The movie is full of humor and you will enjoy it. It’s available on Amazon Prime Video if you want to watch it.

4. Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.

Rajkumar Hirani made his directorial debut with the movie “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.” in 2003. The movie stars Sanjay Dutt as Munna, Boman Irani as Dr. Asthana, Arshad Warsi as Circuit, and Gracie Singh as Dr. Suman in lead roles. The film experienced tremendous success at the box office. The main story of the movie is about Muraliprasad Sharma, also known as Munna, who lies to his father about being a doctor.

One day, his father’s old friend Dr Astana exposes Munna’s lie in front of his father, which deeply hurts him. To make things right, Munna decides to become a doctor and gets admission to the best medical college in Mumbai. He later finds out that Dr. Astana is the dean of the same college where he is studying. The movie revolves around the events that take place in the college after that. The movie has a mix of comedy, love, and emotional scenes. This Hindi film is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

3. Bhagam Bhag

This movie, released in 2006, was directed by Priyadarshan and features Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta, Jackie Shroff, and Raj Pal Yadav in the lead roles. The movie is a mix of comedy and suspense thriller genres, with a perfect balance between humour and suspense. Some scenes in the film are adapted from the Malayalam movie Mannar Mathai Speaking.  The story follows Babla (Govinda) and Bunty (Akshay Kumar), who work for Champak Chaturvedi’s theatre company. One day, they receive an offer to perform a play in London for a month. They move to London for the show, but the lead actress in the play doesn’t come along because of Babla and Bunty.

In London, they decide to find a replacement for the role, and their misadventures trying to get the heroine, Munni (Lara Dutta), and the events that follow her suicide are all amusing. The dialogues between Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Govinda are hilarious and will have you laughing out loud. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, it’s available on Amazon Prime and worth watching. 

2. Dhamaal

Dhamaal is a Hindi comedy movie directed by Indra Kumar in 2007. The film is based on the 2001 American comedy movie Rat Race. It features Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Ashish Chaudhary, Ritesh Deshmukh, Murali Sharma, and Sanjay Mishra in lead roles. The story follows four friends named Roy, Adi, Manav, and Boman. One day, while they are together, they learn about the location of Rs 10 crore hidden from Bose, a man who died in a car crash. Kabir, a police officer searching for Bose and the same information, interrogates the four friends.

They eventually decide to share the funds equally. However, a dispute arises about how much each person should get, and they agree to go alone and take the treasure. The movie depicts their journey to the treasure’s location, filled with funny scenes and dialogue that will make everyone laugh. You can watch this movie on Amazon Prime Video and enjoy it 100%.
