In this article, I am going to write about some interesting suspense thriller movies on Amazon Prime Video. As you know, suspense thriller movies focus on unexpected twists, tension, and conflicts which make the audience sit on the edge of their seat, unlike in the horror genre where gore and blood have the primary importance. Be ready to step into a world of suspense thriller movies filled with an engaging storyline, compelling characters, and unpredictable twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the end. 1. Samrat & Co. – Detective Thriller movie

Are you a fan of genius detective movies? Well, I recommend the Samrat & Co. movie to you. I am not saying that this is one of the best movies ever. I am an admirer of detective suspense thriller movies, so I really liked this movie very much. In this movie, the protagonist Samrat Tilakdhari played by Rajeev Khandelwal is a detective, or you can say a smart detective like Sherlock Holmes. His observation skills and talent are the best. He always wants to solve a case that is the best fit for his talent. His wish is fulfilled when Dimpy Singh (Madalsa Sharma Chakraborty) approaches him seeking his assistance. 

She explains to him all the problems she is going through and asks him to solve the case. Samrat agrees and goes to Dimpy’s Mansion. On Samrat’s arrival, Sanjay Kumar Singh (Priyanshu Chatterjee) Dimpy Singh’s elder brother is happy but Vijay Singh (Indraneil Sengupta), Dimpy’s other brother does not seem to be happy. Dimpy’s father, Mahendra Pratap Singh (Girish Karnad) knows that Samrat is a detective, so he warns him not to be involved in his family issues.

During Mahendra Pratap’s 60th birthday party, he is murdered, and all the blame falls on his second son, Vijay Singh. Vijay is found near the dead body with a pillow in his hand. Everybody was shocked as to how a son could kill his father. Vijay always used to argue with his dad for one reason or another. He gets arrested as all the evidence points towards Vijay Singh but Samrat is not convinced. He further investigates and finds shocking secrets around this murder case. You have to watch the movie to find out what happened and who is the killer. 

Review: 

As I said earlier, I am a big fan of mystery thriller movies, and I really enjoyed this movie. The story of the movie is a convincing one. The investigation methods plus the intelligent thought process of Samrat will impress you. There are many things I haven’t explained in this article that will spoil your movie-watching experience. I must say Rajeev Khandelwal gave his best to look like a smart private investigator. The movie, in toto, is the best entertainer. If you have already watched it, that’s well and good; otherwise, go for it. You can find this movie on Amazon Prime Video. The movie was released in April 2014 and has an IMDb rating of 6.2/10.

2. Missing – A psychological thriller movie

Plot Summary

Manoj Bajapayee and Tabu feature as the key characters in the film Missing. Sushanth Dubey and Aparna, together with their daughter Titli, check into a Mauritius hotel. When Aparna discovers that her child has gone missing, everything goes awry. Sushanth and Aparna strive but fail to find their daughter. Aparna urges Sushanth to approach the cops. Sushanth opposes it, stating he would track down Titli. He is adamant about not involving the cops in this situation. Now Aparna is suspicious of Sushanth’s intentions. 

Sushant asks Aparna whether she has a photo of Titli so that he can find her. But she doesn’t have Titli’s so she advises him to describe to the hotel staff what Titli look like. Sushant says he can’t. He didn’t even recognize her face. At this point, a twist in the story arises. The twist is that Sushant and Aparna were not couples. They just met on a cruise and she came with him as she wanted to protect her daughter. After so much effort Sushant and the hotel staff couldn’t find Titli. Therefore Aparna calls the cop to find her missing daughter. While investigating Inspector Ramkhilawan Buddhu (Anu Kapoor) finds several truths about Sushant and Aparna. 

Sushant’s unnatural behaviour makes the Inspector doubt his statement, so he starts to investigate him. During the investigation, Sushant says that there was no child named Titli. Aparna is mentally ill and it’s all about her illusion. Now, who is lying? Who is telling the truth? What happened? Well, I don’t reveal it now you must watch it. 

Review:

The story of the movie is very interesting. Manoj Bajpayee as Sushant and Tabu as Aparna delivered an outstanding performance. There are no songs in this movie so you won’t be distracted from the main story. The climax of the movie is very interesting and of course shocking. You will like it. This suspense thriller movie is available on Amazon Prime Video. It has an IMDb rating of 5.8/10.

3. Wajah tum Ho

Plot Summary:

In the first scene of the movie, a corrupt police officer named Ramesh Sarnaik (played by Sandesh Jadhav) is murdered by a hooded man, who then telecasts the live video of the killing. When the investigation starts, ACP Kabir Deshmukh (Sharman Joshi) starts questioning the TV network owner Rahul Oberoi (Rajneesh Duggal) about this incident. Rahul says that someone hacked their network and broadcast live murder on TV. When Kabir listens to the final phone call made by the deceased police officer, he discovers that Karan Parekh (played by Himmanshoo Malhotra) was the last person the officer spoke with. Kabir starts an investigation to uncover the connection between Karan and Sarnaik.

He finds that Karan murdered his wife in a car accident, and Sarnaik helped him close the case. He also learned that Rahul and Karan were old business partners. Thus Kabir thinks that Karan might be the culprit. Before he could arrest him, Karan gets kidnapped. Kidnapper broadcasts Karan’s murder video on Rahul’s TV network. Now, the case becomes very complicated. Kabir finds an old case where Karan, Ramesh Sarnaik and Rahul were involved. It gives a new angle to the investigation. What is that? Who is the real killer? Why he is targeting these three people? To find the answer you must watch the movie.

Review:

Well, the story of the movie is good. The final revelation scene is unexpected. Some songs in between the movie were not necessary. But you will enjoy the story and screenplay. I personally really like it, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it too. This movie is available on Amazon Prime Video.

4. My Clients Wife

Plot Summary

Manas Verma (Sharib Hashmi), a defence lawyer had been appointed by Raghuram Singh, portrayed by Abhimanyu Singh. Raghuram was accused that he tried to kill his wife, Sindoora Singh, played by Anjali Patil. According to Raghuram he is innocent and being framed. He tells his lawyer that his wife willfully gave a false attempt to murder a complaint against him. He convinces Manas Verma that his wife is suffering from some sort of psychological disorder. She loves to have affairs with other men, she is a nymphomaniac. When Manas Verma Approaches Raghuram’s wife initially she refuses to meet him, but later she agrees to talk to him.

In conversation with Manas Verma, Sindoora Singh tells him that she is not falsely accusing him. He tried to kill her. She tells her version of the story of how Raghuram always doubts her for one or another reason. Now Manas Verma is in dilemma as to whom he should believe. Meanwhile, he also gets threatening letters from an unknown guy telling him to stay away from Sindoora. Manas also seeks the help of an investigating officer. Both husband and wife accuse each other and stick to their statement.

Meanwhile, the investigating officer arrests a cable operator, who, in his statement says that Sindoora tried to have a physical relationship with him. On hearing that, Manas applies for bail on behalf of his client, Raghuram. When Sindoora learns about this she rushes to Manas and tells him that he had made a mistake. She tells him that her husband is a maniac and she is the victim. Now her life is in danger. As the story goes on, new twists and turns will await you. The ending of the movie is shocking and unexpected. 

Review

The story of the movie is well written with a good screenplay and direction this movie is an entertainment package. Storytelling seems to be a little slow but the twist in the story is well crafted. One who is a fan of suspense, and mystery genre movies will surely enjoy this one. If you did already watch it then well and good but if not then go for it.
